Ask 10 Persons Forum

Ask 10 Persons Forum

The Ask 10 Persons Project was set up in September 2005 with the gist of "The aim of the activity of Ask 10 Persons ("A10" hereafter) is to change teens' view about others with culturally different backgrounds to a much friendlier one by enriching the images they have toward foreign countries from a familiar perspective." The forum named Kokusai Juku was means of the communication between people who live in Japan and abroad. Japanese students communicated with people in US and in Poland via the forum.

The new forum was created inheriting of the previous forum in April 2007. It was named the Ask 10 Persons Project Forum. Core members were established to manage it.

Learning English via Cell Phone is FUN!

Niwa.chan in Australia started to teach English to Japanese students via cell phone.

Smiling Few days ago, I had nice conversations via cell phones with Miho, Asuka, Rio and Tomoyuki.. We had these conversations to practice English, and I had a Great Great Great Fun!! Everyone, has been really nice, and to my surprise everyone is doing very well. I hope Tomoyuki can overcome the anxiety of speaking English.. But the girls are doing fantastic! This method is very new to me, and I hope by getting one step closer to them, and being able to talk with them in almost daily basis can help them to familiarized them to English.. With that good intention of mine, I hope anytime near future these lovely and hard working teens will be able to use English more often. I wish to continue on this project for sometime.. and hopefully it will grow..

Niwa.chan, Rio, and Miho had the 1st Meet Up over the internet on May 31, 2009. Both Miho and Rio enjoyed chatting with Niwa.chan with the openmeetings, Open-Source Web-Conferencing, on the Aristoy School website.
