Some students enjoyed talking with Rafal. They greeted each other and talked about their future dreams. I listend to students' smiling and laughing with bright faces. I appreciate Rafal so much.

Yesterday I talked with Rafal with chat on the internet. We talked about a winter vacation, etc. I was very surprised to hear that they have no winter vacation but they have a summer vacation for 3 months in Poland. It is really different from Japanese one.
And another thing I surprised was there were no wards such as Japanese "shougatsu" (shougatsu is used for some new year's days) I have thought that foreigners use a ward such as "shougatsu" because all of us use this ward.
We exchanged "Merry Christmas" , "Happy New Year", and so on each other. Sometimes we didn't understand long passages at once and our talk was on different levels. But this talk was very useful for my studying English and I had a very good time with Rafal because he is really kind and pleasant.
And I want to keep this kind of exchange with him.

Yesterday we had an international exchange with Rafal-san.
It was our fourth attempt so that I could understand the difference such as cultural background and town's landscape and foods between Japan and Poland.
We talked about schools yesterday. I was so surprised to hear that they have a summer vacation for three months in Poland as compared with having it for a month and half in Japan. 　I was much more surprised to hear that they start studying from the January 2. It really made me surprised that schools in Poland start on January 2 instead of being in the middle of 'Shougatsu' in Japan. I could learn the difference between Japan and Poland again.

I hope I will be able to keep on exchanging with him and learn the differece of each country.

Mayu about our holidays. We have a winter vacation but it may be a bit confused. Let me explain this more in detail. All depends on schools. We have elementary school (6 years), then gymnasium (it's seconday school 3 years) and high school (3-4 years). Pupils of those schools have winter vacation 2 weeks, they have earlier also christmas break about 10 days, and on summer they have 2 months holiday. About me its diffent because im a student. Studies havent got any winter vacation but instead of this we have longer summer holiday 3 months not 2 like in ealier schools.
About Shougatsu, Yes we havent really any word like this in poland. We just have 'a new year' that all.
