Usually we are not celebrating it  But sometimes you can see a Halloween party or something like that. It's definitely not such big event like in the US, but sometimes you can see some things that are connected with Halloween, but I've never seen kids dressed up and going around for sweets :)

Instead, we are celebrating an "All saint's day" tomorrow (1st November), when we are visiting graves of our deceased relatives.

That's true. It's the time, when people recall the memory of their relatives who passed away and prey for them. This day should be celebrated with silence and seriousness to show our respect for them. That's why I don't think, any parties around "All Saints' Day" are a good idea. It's better to leave it in traditional way :).

By the way, Teru-san, this pumpkin looks insane :rotfl:. You have very creative and skillfull friend :D.

In Indonesia we don't celebrate the Halloween :D

We did the costume party for celebrating our independence days. Kids usually dressed up like the one they adore . I was dressed up as doctor when I was kid because I want to be a doctor in the future. Even though, now I enroll economics department

we are celebrating an "All saint's day" tomorrow (1st November), when we are visiting graves of our deceased relatives.

Indonesian have that occasion too, but the exact days is depend on religion. Moslem have it in Aidil Fitri and Christian have it after Christmas. We respect and pray for them as yours. :)

I think children's trick-or-treating and guising on Halloween Day started in North America. I found out that the name "Halloween" originally meant "Eve of" All Saints' Day." So, it's related, but Halloween turned out to be just for fun and entertainment.

Here's our family's jack-o'-lanterns this year. Not as good as Teru's friend's pumpkin.
